I began teaching Hatha Yoga to a diverse population on Vancouver island in 2009, since, accumulating over 5000 hours of experience. I strive to provide a range of classes in my community, making yoga accessible to any age or ability. I strongly believe and continue to observe that every single body is different and so each person needs a unique balance of strength, mobility, relaxation, challenge, or less effort for example. My approach to teaching begins with student requests and my priority is integrity for each student in every pose. I believe that Yoga is not a stagnant practice, it is something that grows and deepens as we grow and our awareness deepens-this has been my personal experience, and it is my passion to share this potential experience with as many people as possible.
I started taking yoga classes in 2004, with Michelle Rubin. I became a yoga teacher in 2009, and began apprenticing Michelle. In 2014 I completed a 2 year teacher training/apprenticeship program with Michelle Rubin. I am now certified 1800 hours of training and continue to practice Raja Yoga with Michelle.
I currently reside on Bear Mountain where I have a small home studio for private clients and my home practice. Other than yoga I spend my time enjoying food, creativity and family in human and doggy forms.
